Windows Live Writer is a windows based application written by Microsoft to make posting pages to the internet or your website or blog easy.

You can think of it like Microsoft Word for blogging. Just download and install then it will take you through a wizard process to connect to your website so you can begin posting content to your website (blog) very easily with no need to learn HTML or any other web programming languages.

As of the latest version (5/12/2011), Windows Live Writer supports the following Websites:

  • Wordpress
  • TypePad
  • Sharepoint
  • Blogger
  • Drupal

List is probably not complete but you get the point. MrGroove wrote about the tool a little here as well: http://www.groovypost.com/tags/live-writer/
