While browsing the site a message on my page stated, You have -3 reputation points. What does that mean??

Am I being drummed out of the corps?

Reputation points on this site are the little points next to your name. Currently it shows that you have 56, and 7 badges. Having a certain amount of reputation points allows you to do useful things, like edit posts, award points to others, or post more links.

Reputation points are also known as karma.

Reputation points are like bragging rights he with the most points win. As said earlier reputation points also allow you to help keep the questions clean by giving you access to do admin tasks. The more you have the more you can do.
