Go to http://music.google.com/music and click REQUEST AN INVITATION

Then, pray three times a day towards the direction of Mountain View, California, cancel your Amazon Cloud account and delete iTunes from your computer.

J/k on the last bit

isn't music.google.com/music a bit redundant? why not just music.google.com or google.com/music?

Actually, I've been researching and it looks like you can't even get an invite passed along. You cna only get it this way and anyone promising to give you one some other way e.g. by selling it to you or asking you to fill in personal info is scamming you.

You can also wait a days. I'm sure you will be able to buy an invite on eBay if you don't get picked by the all powerful GOOG.

That's how I got my google wave account and my GMAIL account. Best $1.50 I ever spent (I think....)
