WINDOWS 7 JPEG FILES NOT SHOWING UP AS THUMBNAILS

I have a newer computer that has windows 7 and all of the sudden the jpeg files don't show up as thumbnails but this goofy red icon. The only way I can view the jpeg is by clicking on it. Any ideas on what I can do to get thumbnails to show back up?

Open the folder containing the Pictures
Click "Organize" and from the dropdown menu select "Folder and Search Options"
Under the "View" tab, make sure "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is UNCHECKED.
Scroll down the list and make Sure that “show preview handlers in the preview pane” is CHECKED
Click "Apply" then "OK".

Right click a blank area in the folder and point to “View” then select “Large Icons” or “Extra Large Icons”

Your thumbnails should now be displayed, if not let us know.
